EBSCOhost Ebook Paging Improvement Trick
VU Libraries has a good-sized ebook collection, including about 10,000 titles in the EBSCO eBook Collection. These ebooks are read on a web platform and must be paged through rather than downloading the entire text on a Kindle, etc. A tip that appears to dramatically speed up the EBSCOhost ebook paging process is below.
You may need to fix some settings on your computer's Adobe Reader to be able to read the books in a more efficient, improved way. If you can't move from page to page easily, follow these instructions.
Computer Settings
Make sure you have the current Adobe Reader. You can download the latest at http://www.adobe.com/downloads/
Open Adobe Reader. Go to Edit >> Preferences >> and choose Internet. Set the Reader to open inside the browser.
Make sure "Display in Read mode by default" is not checked.
Close Reader and try again.

All VU ebooks are cataloged in the library catalog, WebCat. Other ways to access the EBSCOhost ebooks are to visit the VU Libraries Electronic Book Collections link on the Find Books page or go to the EBSCOhost (Inspire) link on the Find Articles page and select eBook Collection (EBSCOhost).
